Work With Me
I am a communications strategist, cultural producer, and on-air host with more than a decade of experience turning ideas into stories that move people. I partner with organizations, brands, and events that value culture, equity, and community, and I bring a journalist's eye, a producer's discipline, and a host's ease to every project. Here is how we can work together.
Communications Strategy & Content: I help mission-driven organizations turn what they do into stories people remember through communications strategy, brand storytelling, editorial direction, and content that moves audiences to act. This work is built on a decade in broadcast journalism and nonprofit media. Available for retainer or project work, remote.
Speaking & Moderating: I bring warmth, sharp questions, and a journalist's instinct to the stage, moderating panels and speaking on storytelling, media, Black queer culture, and building community through narrative. Trained in live television, I am comfortable holding a room and drawing out a conversation that lands.
Cultural Production & Event Curation: Through Culture of Color Collective, I design and produce culturally rooted experiences that center Black LGBTQ+ communities, from nightlife to live storytelling. I take events from concept and creative direction through production and partnerships, all grounded in joy and belonging.
Hosting & On-Air Work: An award-winning on-air host who can carry a broadcast, livestream, podcast, or live event with ease, presence, and genuine curiosity. My background spans television, documentary, and podcasting, with years of experience both on-air and behind the mic.
My work has reached audiences across Africa, Europe, and the United States. I have reported for the BBC, edited inclusive youth media at RNW Media, directed the documentary Defiance: Voices of a New Generation, and founded The Rustin Times, an internationally recognized pan-African LGBTQ+ media platform. Today, I host Odejuma, an intimate storytelling podcast featuring voices from across the Black Diaspora, and serve as Founder and Creative Director of the Culture of Color Collective in Minneapolis.
If you are looking for someone to shape your message, host your event, moderate your panel, or produce a cultural experience your community will remember, I would love to hear from you. Tell me what you are working on, and let's find a way in.
